Al Scherer
Al Scherer holds one PhD in anthropology and a second one in toxicology, pharmacology and transcultural medicine. After years as a professor of anthropology at universities in the US and abroad he served as the CEO and General Manager of several international business companies for over 20 years. His subject matter expertise includes production engineering, plastics fabrication, lab tech and defense technology, but also history, religion and marketing. He is bilingual in German and English, fluent in French, Spanish and Italian and has working knowledge in seven additional languages. He also studied several African and South American Indian languages. For the past ten years, Al held various positions in several international translation companies. Al is Adler’s chief linguist. He likes motorcycling and boating.
Erik Bremer
Erik Bremer is an alumnus of East Carolina University, where he studied German and business administration. After working in several other professions, he pursued his passion – IT and networking – as a career. Born in Germany, he is bilingual in German and English and he is the techie at Adler Translations. If there is a better mousetrap in the translation industry, he will find it and use it. Erik’s main responsibility at Adler is project management, system engineering and network maintenance. Erik’s hobbies are video games and Tai Kwon Do.
